Mineral Makeup Foundation - Adonia Shade

Okay, so I do not usually write reviews for anything, mostly because eventually everything does not suit me. I have had acne-prone skin since I was 12/13 years old- I am almost 30 now. After years of the onslaught of every OTC and high end cleanser/treatment/moisturizer/make-up and the endless trial and errors with homeopathic methods (yes I even tried to make my own make up), I had pigmentation scars, pock marks, constant acne flare ups, blackheads, dry patches, redness, and hyper sensitivity- we are talking itching, burning irritated skin all the time- with little to no relief from annnyyytthiiinngggggg. I was literally in complete despair...until now. This make up is so pure and so delicate (I use the delicate kind), that it has helped clear and calm my skin in a matter of weeks. Now, there is a serious learning curve with this stuff, though. First- I suggest getting LOTS of samples and combining multiple colors. I am very pale but warm almost sallow, blue eyed, brown haired- I use Adonia as a base and lighten it slightly with Calla and warm it up with just a touch of Mirabella. I also use it very lightly using the flat top brush and moist method. I do not need to buff, which is great because that can be irritating to a girl with skin like mine. Now, when done correctly on cleansed, exfoliated, moisturized skin, and when the right shades are used- the result is soooo natural and healthy looking- too much looks heavy- I would rather let a little imperfection show through than have it caked on. Plus, if you are wearing it everyday and taking care of your skin properly, the blemishes will clear so fast, it will not matter. Now the second part of the learning curve is washing this off without irritating sensitive skin. My holy grail of facial cleansers, my friends, and you will love me for this, if you are bold enough to try and diligent enough to stick with it, is YOGURT. YES. Yogurts creaminess helps melt this make-up away and its lactic acid keeps your skin exfoliated and supple, making the make up even more beautiful when applied. I moisturize with hemp oil (if you have acne, you should be too). Anyway, I am so happpyyyyy. I wear this everyday and love putting it on. I set it with a light dusting of the satin rose mineral veil. I touch it up towards the end of the day if I decide to go out- but its lasting power is lovely- it melts into your skin so naturally- you forget you are wearing it. With this make- up, you have the chance to conceal your insecurities while healing them. This make-up is MAGIC. Also, added bonus, the packages always arrive super fast. I decided to try this make up after developing a stubborn facial rash following a 30% TCA peel. Well, rash gone! Beautiful finish! I have received more comments about how wonderful my skin looks when wearing this foundation! I only buy make up that is good for my sensitive skin now and I have used dozens of well- known brands. This is by far the best! By the way, I really appreciate your You Tube instruction videos. Thank you for making this wonderful product.

This wonderful mineral foundation is so natural looking, I really do not know it is there. But the before and after mirror tells it all. No flaking, no chalking, no crease gathering, stays on all day, covers my rosacea nicely. I could go on with praises, and especially after trying a ton of others, I am so grateful. This product is worth having. Lesson learned.

I found a company called After Glow that I almost tried, but then I found you, and my life is so much better because of it!

Your web site is awesome with all the information, the color choice is incredible, and most of all I love that you make three types of formula’s. When I ordered I was not expecting to be this happy, I asked for two samples and gave one to my sister. She used it until it was gone and tried her BE again (because she had just bought it right before I gave her the sample) she wore it one day and sent me a email saying “that she just ordered your product, BE makes me look so washed out and painted on, holey crap what crap”. And I have to agree. Thank you for your hard work!

because their products are the best and their foundation is beautiful on my skin. Shade match is never an issue even if I have to blend it a bit with Fiorella to lighten it. What I have to say I love most about all of their mineral makeup is it is NEVER OUT OF STOCK! I got so sick and tired of other brands always running out of my shade sending me on another hunt for a reseller of whatever brand I was using at the time to see if I could find it. Very tiresome. Sterling has always had my shades no matter the time of year. They say they manufacture their own minerals and I believe it because they NEVER run out! Oh did I mention their mineral makeup is AWESOME? Well it is. Customer FOREVER!

Okay, I have worn bareminerals for 12 years. I have semi oily acne prone skin. Each time I went to bareminerals I was NEVER color matched the same. It is hard being a Redhead. The makeup industry does NOT accommodate redheads much! I found sterling minerals on a search because my skin became sensitive to the powder foundation. I even tried the new bareskin foundation and wound up with a face on fire! My sterling mineral samples came in the mail this week. I was so excited to try them. BUT- the Adonia shade SCARED me. Looked different than any shade I have ever used. Good for natural redheads? hmm. Well I thought okay- put it on and do not be shy! I was SHOCKED. It blended in over the Jennifer foundation I used for concealing and I could not tell I had foundation on (my skin looked refreshed)- It melted right in making my skin look Flawless and New. My husband said I went from 49 years old to 19 years old. He has always been overly honest with me because He likes the natural look. I was SOLD!
