Mineral Makeup Foundation - Calla Shade

I mix this shade with my mineral sunscreen and use it as an undereye concealer. It does not crease and it counteracts my darkness just enough to give me a naturally bright undereye. Love it!

I purchased a sample size of this in the Delicate formula, along with Hannah and thought that I would be blending the two together for my perfect shade. I do, but I have found that I can use either on its own because the minerals blend so well. I actually favor using Calla on its own, even though it is slightly light on my medium skin tone. Callas strong yellow tones go very well with my coloring and it helps even out the redness which makes my face appear darker than the rest of me. I really like how weightless these foundations are and the fresh look they impart. Disclaimer: I have pretty clear skin and am not sure how well the coverage would be for those who have more problematic skin.

Great product, but unfortunately not the right shade for me: too light!

mica does make my face glow a bit more....not all of us are sensitive to it the way we are sensitive to bismuth.....could you possibly add it to some of your shades?

To clarify with you, we do include Mica, just not at the ratio of other brands and the Mica we do use is encapsulated with Methicone which protects skin from micro abrasion and moisture loss. Our products are designed for women with skin sensitivities and is why our foundation works for so many. A healthy polished glow is the end result we seek and we hope you continue to enjoy your mineral makeup.

I need a blend of shades to get the right match for my skintone and this shade gives me the yellow I need in my olive shade Bianca. This is a true match made in heaven. LOVE IT!!!! :)

This is the only mineral makeup that I have found with true yellow shade tones - without any peachy, orange-y or pink cast. It blends well and makes a great tinted moisturizer mixed with a moisturizer or sunscreen provided they are not too matte in finish. Zero skin irritation. I have been ordering from Sterling for years - occasionally I receive product that smells slightly rancid. I would raise it to 5 stars if every one I ordered was perfectly fresh.

Thank you Ellyn for bringing up this issue which we have addressed in our education center. It is an oddity that does occur from batch to batch, but allow us to reassure you that you are not using an old rancid product since Jojoba Oil does not turn rancid due to it being a wax ester. It is how Jojoba oil interacts on occasion with the various iron oxides, in particular Blue Ultramarine. The benefits this ingredient offers to our products and the customers that use them overall, far outweighs the slight aroma one may notice on rare occasions. We could mask it with artificial fragrance but then we would run into the issue for those sensitive to fragrance. It is a conundrum to be sure, but as you have found, we do offer an exceptional product and we are glad you are pleased overall with our mineral makeup.
