Mineral Makeup Foundation - Jennifer Shade

I love this mineral makeup. Coverage is great and so is the staying power. What makes it very nice to wear is how it makes my face feel, very silky and soft. I do have to make sure I do not over buff with Sterling because I do end up removing it before it is set.

A little trick I learned was to apply, set, apply again. Layering is necessary especially if you have discoloring of the skin like I do. But my skin always looks flawless when I am done and so natural, and it is most definitely different from my old bareminerals, so make sure you do not apply this like theirs. In fact you do not need to. Follow their directions and videos and you will have great success. Thank you Sterling Minerals, you are my new holy grail in mineral makeup.

I love this foundation. I use it to conceal old acne scars and redness around my nose. I also suffer from some hyperpigmentation and it does a nice job of fixing this too. I have tried delicate and dewy formulas but I lean toward dewy since I still have issues with my t zone area. I combine this with some amara for the rest of my face since jennifer is a touch light for main foundation. Under eye circles are also no more. I have recommended this to everyone I know. Thanks!

This product outlined my pores and fine lines. Not what I am looking for.

There are certain techniques that are used to create a better finish and typically if pores or fine lines are showing up more than usual, it is due to leaving excess mineral makeup on the face. I love their foundation formulas. I can not believe how it makes my skin feel. Other brands, including bareminerals made my skin feel like I was wearing, well powder. This makeup feels like velvet, silky, just like they describe a rose petal softness, and the coverage is very nice. My search is finally over thanks to Sterling Minerals.

This is a very nice color for concealing and highlighting. I have experimented with dry and moist applications and have decided for heavy spot concealing, I like a layering of both, finishing with a stipple of dry applied with a tiny brush, then misting. I just had a couple of skin cancer spots frozen so I currently have dark red raw spots to hide while they heal. Jennifer covered them beautifully so you would never know. The texture and color looked very natural. (After spot concealing, I stippled over the spot with my foundation color so there wouldn’t be a light spot to call attention to it.) For facial highlighting, I like the moist application and a foundation brush for a subtle natural effect. The color is a lot more versatile than it looks like in the container. It looks very light in the container, but on the skin after applying toner mist, it blends with my natural skin tone beautifully. It also works well when mixed with my Bianca and Hannah shades as needed.
