Mineral Makeup Starter Kit - Fair To Medium Skin

I have been waiting forever for these to return since Covid. I absolutely love these kits. These are the best for getting restarted on finding my new shades in a great set of sampling. Everything about Sterling I love. The brushes are amazing, the minerals give me a great complexion, and I adore the lip glosses. I can never have too many of these. Thanks for bringing the starter kits back.

Love that the starter kit had everything you needed and to start a regimen of mineral powder foundation, since I was new to the product. Giving me a brush to be able to apply it was a great find and a great price. So far the powder foundation has covered the redness of my face quite nicely and still gives me the more natural look that I like.

I have only used this for two days and am still trying to perfect the technique! I find I have to put a lot of moisturiser on before and be quite reserved with the buffing. I tried spraying the brush with water but this just made the makeup cakey. It lasts all day which is great. Unfortunately it cost a fortune to ship over to UK as I forgot about import taxes etc. I would definitely buy this again if available in the UK but sadly it is too pricey at the moment.

A bit of a tip on the moisture sprayed on the brush, it takes very little makeup when using the moist spray method since it lays down more makeup. However, whenever a bit too much might get applied, unlike other brands, Sterling Minerals foundation can be smoothed out nicely by buffing a bit more if you did get too much since it does not get stuck in one spot until the final setting spray you might apply. Depending on the level of dryness to your skin, we always suggest adding a bit more to prevent your skin from feeling dry as no mineral makeup brand is ever going to be moisturizing to the skin. It is a trial and error process. Eventually you will find that perfect application that works best for your skin type and texture.

This is a lovely foundation. It looks good all day and makes my skin look younger and healthier!

Got the package and opened it to discover, the lipstick that was described as red was not red at all but brown. Was not very impressed with the foundation either. I understand there are no returns on the starter kits, if so I would have returned.

Hi Debra, We are sorry you were not happy with your lipstick choice Temptress. We do describe it in full detail as being a rich Garnet for women who like reds and it is in the red family. Garnet is known as an earthy red which has undertones of warmth with Yellow and our color depicts the natural look on the lip photos. We do also provide a tip on how to create more of a Ruby Red shade with a mix of Kissable if this was more to your preference. Depending on the depth of pigment in your lips this also can augment a shade. We highly suggest mixing with the kissable shade if you are requiring a bolder, brighter red.

Our Foundation offer within the starter kit is a great way to get started in shade choices, but it can sometimes require further sampling since it is only 2 shades you receive. Perhaps the shading is incorrect for your skin tone and we would be happy to assist you further in getting you the correct shade choice. I am constantly buying makeup, because nothing works with my skin. This was a great way to try the product and decide if I liked it, as well as whether the colors were right. I am very very pleased, and have ordered the full size products, with a couple of adjustments.
